Alberta Mae Carrico was born in Wild Cherry, Arkansas on 23 Feb 1912 to Josiah Converse Carrico (1873-1957) and Celestia Alabama Caldonia Reese (1872-1948). Celestia was the youngest of seven children:
- Arval Arlando (1893-1971)
- Claude Randle (1896-1973)
- Bessie Myrtle (1898-1986)
- Ida Sylvester (1901-1997)
- Ruth Alice (1905-1993)
- Austin Rochester (my great grandfather; 1908-1979)
Alberta gave birth to her first child, a daughter, in 1929, with Lester Patch Scott (1905-1994). They also had a son together.
Alberta was also married to Paul Grove and William Karr Estes (1905-1970). Estes was also married to Alberta's sister Ruth.
Alberta was living in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1960.
Alberta died on 18 Feb 2001 at age 88 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Alberta is buried at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

ReplyDeleteI also have Scott as Lester Lloyd Scott but have seen reference to "Patch." Is that a nickname? Scott does have family name "Ptach" in his tree. Is that relevant do you think?
