Carrie M. was born in Aug 1866 in Avon, Wisconsin to John Jacob Green (1826-1892) and Louisa Alvira Babcock (1830-1893). Carrie was the ninth of eleven children:

- Melissa A. (1853-1936)
- Harriet Zeletta (1856-1914)
- Isaac Sanborn (1858-1915)

- Elmer (1861-?)
- Frank Burton (1868-1936)
- Edmond John (1872-1935)
Carrie married George F. Donyes (1862-1921) on 25 Mar 1883 in Green County, Wisconsin. They had two children:
- Jesse Nelson (1893-1975)
- Dorothy (1903-1943)
Carrie and family spent time living in Durand, Illinois. After George's death, Carrie was living in Waukesha, Wisconsin according to the 1930 census.
Carrie died on 14 Aug 1938 at age 72 in Los Angeles, California.
