Charlotte was born on 10 Mar 1872 in Neukirchen Kreis Osterberg, Germany to August F. Nachtigall (1833-1890) and Charlotte Sophia Elizabeth Kober (1839-1927). Charlotte was the sixth of nine children:

- Herman Fredrec (my 3rd great grandfather; 1866-1934)
- Armand (1868-?)
- Otto Frederick (1869-1949)
- Nachtigall (1874-1874)
- Louise B. (1874)
- Albert Carl (1876-1941)
- Maria H. (1878-1901)
I have no record of Charlotte marrying or having any children.
Charlotte died on 22 Jan 1937 at age 64. Charlotte is buried at the Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
