52 Ancestors Week #16 - Thelma Lenora Moore

This week's theme is live long.  I chose a collateral (or distant) relative since this is the oldest person I could find on the Carrico Branch of my family.  This relative is my fourth cousin 2x removed.

Thelma Lenora was born on 09 Jul 1911 in Rose Hill, Iowa to Howard Moore (1882-1963) and Clara Garrett (1885-1962).  Thelma had five siblings:

  • Mildred Mae (1905-1996)
  • Opal Lucille (1906-1972)
  • Harold J. (1909-1986)
  • Gerald Frank (1913-1995)
  • Bernice Irene (1918-2010)
Thelma married Harold Davis (1911-2001) on 15 Oct 1932.  It appears Thelma lived most of her life in Iowa according to the federal census records.  They had four children, three boys and 1 girl.  It looks like three of the four are still living so to protect privacy I will not included their information here.

Thelma died on 18 Sep 2010 at age 99.  Thelma is buried at Henness Cemetery in Givin, Iowa.
